Qualified Immunity Update and Call to Action

Hey friends. We know it’s been a long time since we posted on our website, and we apologize for that! The 2020 General Session was long and arduous.

Just when we thought we could take a breath, progressive advocacy groups started calling for a special session in Virginia in June to end Qualified Immunity. Right now, they are emailing the Governor to ask for this special session.

We are in talks with other support groups to issue petitions and call to actions to you all so we can stop this thing in its tracks before it hurts our families, law enforcement, and most importantly, public safety. In the meantime, we highly recommend sending our previous call to action on qualified immunity directly to all Senators, Delegates and the Governor. Our call to action has the email list as well as an email template.

EVEN IF YOU HAVE SENT THIS LETTER BEFORE, PLEASE SEND IT AGAIN.

Remember!!! We’ve beat this before. In fact, we’ve beat this 3 times. We can do this a 4th time. We can’t give up. At the very least, we need to make our concerns heard to get police officers in Virginia FULLY indemnified by localities. You can do that by sharing the concerns in the call to action with all Senators, Delegates and the Governor.

As usual, let us know what you hear back, particularly from Senate Democrats.

We know the past few months - heck, years - have been hard in the wake of so many LODDs and so much anti-police rhetoric. We know it’s hard to see this post and not feel stressed and anxious. Behind this page, we empathize with you. We know it’s hard to get back up. But we’re going to dust off, and have our LEOs backs because they have ours. We are sure you all will do the same thing.

We’re in this together, and we are strongest when we advocate and use our voices together.
