2021 General Assembly Call to Action

Updated: Dec 3, 2020

Welcome, and thank you for joining us!

Before, During and After the 2021 Virginia General Assembly, we will be posting Calls to Action. This means we are asking for your help!

Our first call to action will be to preemptively let lawmakers know we are watching, and about our priorities to keep qualified immunity, and keep Assault on Law Enforcement a felony charge. Our first call to action can be found here: https://bluelinefamiliesof.wixsite.com/website/take-action

Our second call to action will be in late December (after Christmas) once all the bills are in for the session. This will be one of our most important calls. We will analyze the bills, determine our priorities, and share them with you all so you can use our email template, as well as a personal note and any other priorities you may have. We will ask you to email every single Senator and House member at the Committee level, as well as the general level. This is critically important, as the first and easiest way to kill or amend bills that endanger law enforcement, is in committee. Particularly, we will focus on the House of Justice Committee, the Public Safety Committee, and the Judiciary Committee.

We will release further calls to action as priority bills advance through the process.
